My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 23 of 52
Share
Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
Cabinet guy came out this past week and took the final measurements for the kitchen. We decided on the floating shelves we wanted {or rather I wanted… the HH is still a wee bit skeptical about the whole thing}.
1 long shelf above the stove and 2 on the side of the pantry. AND THAT’S IT!!! {The above photo is from the AGA Instagram page}
I wanted a light and open, clutter free kitchen with a big fat British stove and a large pantry. And so that’s what we’re going with. And I couldn’t be more excited!
The cabinets likely won’t be installed until September though, but that’s okay. As long as the kitchen is put back together again by the time we get our first snowfall… I’m good with it.
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove {$16,641.35 of $22,000 earned so far}
I listed some new pieces in my Etsy shop last night and I am happy to report that I am now 76% of the way to my goal!!!
Fill the Canning Cupboard
Last week I canned split pea and ham soup. This week I’m going to try another soup recipe. I’ll let you know how it goes.
So far this year I have canned:
- Cinnamon Rhubarb Jam
- Pickled Asparagus
- Ginger Pear Jam
- Spiced Christmas Jam
- Cranberry Sauce
- Split Pea and Ham Soup
Not canned but in jars:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
I think I’ll just have to wait until things calm down before I list my beach finds.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
Working on it. And also trying to figure out what we are going to do with 68 tomato plants once they start producing.
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
I made it 6 1/2 days without a bunch of stuff piled up on the dining room tables. And then I did an Etsy update. And ate a half a pint of ice cream while I was listing everything.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}
It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.
Make a Quilt Top
I pulled my quilt squares out this week. And then I put them back on the shelf.
Be More Intentional With My Time
Not a bad place to sit and watch the sunrise.
1 Craft / Blog Free Day {I’ve had 20 craft/blog free days this year so far.}
Keep My Husband Busy
The HH bought himself a super splitting axe so he can get to work as soon as our firewood arrives. He loves the axe and said he wished he would have bought one sooner.
Firewood guy is really backed up because everyone wants to load up on firewood this year {4 cords of wood cost the same right now as a 6 WEEK supply of heating oil} but we’re hoping we get our delivery of firewood in the next week or two.

My House Projects For This Year {so far}
All house projects are on hold right now as we finish up the 2nd garden space the HH created last week. I’m hoping that by Monday afternoon we will have moved all the garden soil down to that bed and the HH can till it up so I can get the rest of the squash and beans {and who knows what else} planted.
Things I need to get done this year:
- Finish painting the outside of the house
